This easily replaces multiple apps on my iPhone with one easy to use, well designed app. As an engineer working with teams around the world, having a list of the times and dates where they live is very handy. Its also nice to know if its day or night when Im talking to them on the phone. As an amateur astronomer, I love the phase of the moon and times for the various twilights. Makes planning an observing session for the evening easy.
The main display is filled with subtle but valuable visual cues as to the status in that time zone. For example, the name of the city turns to black text after sunset and back to white text after sunrise. And theres a colored bar next to the time to indicate which twilight the city is in. Clicking on the the little triangle at the bottom lets you change the display from one where all the various times are aligned with each other (time indicator in the center), to one where all the 24-hour days are aligned with each other (time indicator varies by location).
Lots of nice little touches make this a very well thought out design. I agree with Richard that a great additional feature would be an alarm based on the twilight periods. As an astronomer, Id love to have an alarm go off, say 30 minutes before the end of Nautical Twilight so I have time to get out and set up my scope for the time when Id like to be observing. Another nice feature would be to change the background color of the city display if that city is in a different date than the current location. Would be nice to be able to see at a glance if the time displayed is not for my "today".
