Consistent crash on iPhone 6

Ive loved Classic for years...but recently found Classic crashes when I try to set the date back a week (or any day beyond December 28, 2014.) So I purchased this new version thinking perhaps Classic had probs with my new-ish iPhone 6. But no...new version crashes in the exact same way.
Slightly prefer old interface as you could see more info (various cities) all at once.
